Ruby Zoisite refers to a variety of Zoisite naturally containing inclusions of Ruby. Zoisite is a calcium aluminum silicate belonging to the same group as Epidote. It is primarily sourced in Tanzania, Austria, Belgium, and Canada. Mineralogist Abraham Gottlob Werner first described this mineral in a publication in 1805, naming it in honor of Baron Sigmund Zois, a naturalist and collector who played a key role in recognizing Zoisite as a distinct mineral.
Ruby is a gemstone belonging to the Corundum family. It appears in a wide range of red shades, from pinkish red to deep crimson. The most renowned deposits are found in Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, India, and Madagascar. Myanmar, famous for its "pigeon blood" Rubies, is estimated to account for around 90% of the world’s Ruby production.
Ruby Zoisite harmoniously combines the energetic properties of both minerals. In lithotherapy, Zoisite is considered a grounding and balancing stone that stimulates creativity and imagination. It is also reputed to strengthen the energy defense system and accelerate emotional recovery. Linked to the Root and Heart Chakras, Zoisite helps transmute negative energies into positive vibrations. It symbolizes justice, generosity, and altruism.
A stone of joy and creativity, Ruby is known to revive enthusiasm, restore courage, and boost self-confidence. According to testimonials, its invigorating energies tone both body and spirit while regulating hyperactivity. Ruby is also known to soothe negative feelings such as anger, frustration, and jealousy. It is believed to reduce fears and ward off nightmares. Ruby symbolizes Love, wisdom, and passion.
To preserve the beauty and quality of Ruby Zoisite, we recommend avoiding thermal shocks, prolonged exposure to sunlight, or any contact with chemicals and cosmetics. For cleaning, rinsing with lukewarm water followed by careful drying with a soft cloth is advised.
