Aquamarine is a gemstone that belongs to the Beryl family. Its stunning range of blue shades evokes the ocean, which is reflected in its Latin name aqua marina, meaning “sea water”. The most renowned deposits are found in Madagascar, Brazil, Africa, and Pakistan.
Aquamarine is known for its gentle and calming energy. Linked to the Throat Chakra, it is believed to promote communication, emotional expression, and the management of irrational fears. Aquamarine is said to reduce anxiety, strengthen self-confidence, and stimulate creativity and imagination. It may also help combat insomnia and improve sleep quality. Aquamarine symbolizes gentleness and protection.
Although it is a durable gemstone, Aquamarine should be handled with care to avoid impacts and scratches. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or chemicals. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight is not recommended, as it may affect the stone’s color. To clean your Aquamarine, use a soft-bristled brush or a cloth dampened with lukewarm water.
