Product Description
♪ Lithophyses of the Massif de l’Esterel (Var, 83) trained there are 250 million years from lava flows where Silice infiltrated into cavities filled with gas (vacuoles). They usually appear in the form of geodes of which the gangue is composed of volcanic rock (rhyolite).
Once sawn and polished, we discover various forms and colours interesting due to the presence ofOxides. The inside of the Lithophysis is mainly composed of layers of Calcedoine and other minerals such as Quartz, Calcite, Fluorite and more rarelyAmethyst. We also prospect the Lithophyses to USA, in Russia or at Mexico.
