Lepidolite is an aluminium and potassium silicate belonging to the Micas group. This mineral was first described in 1792 by German chemist Martin Heinrich Klaproth. The Lepidolite derives its name from the Greek word "lepís", which means "scaille", with reference to its scaly appearance. The main deposits are located in Madagascar, Portugal, Italy, Brazil and the USA.
In lithotherapy, Lepidolite is considered a protective stone for appeasement, relaxation and well-being. It is known to protect negative energies and form an effective shield against unwanted waves. Lepidolite would channel emotions, alleviate stress and reduce anxiety, while activating the various Chakras. It is also known to help overcome sadness and grief in times of mourning and change. It would also provide valuable energy support in the stages of depression and in the contexts of addiction or emotional dependence. His comforting energies would help heal emotional trauma, dispel fears and restore self-confidence. It symbolizes luck, spiritual healing and inner peace.
Lepidolite requires special attention to maintain its qualities. It is advisable to avoid contact with chemicals or cosmetics that may affect the surface. Be careful not to expose it too long to direct sunlight and protect it from thermal shocks. To clean it, simply use a simple soft damp cloth or warm water. Avoid letting it submerged too long in water.
