Labradorite is a mineral belonging to the Feldspath family. Her name comes from the Labrador region of Canada, where she was discovered by chance in the late 1700s by Moravian Brothers during a religious mission. This fascinating stone is highly appreciated for its beautiful colorful and shimmering reflections, which vary from blue to green, with shades of yellow, orange, pink and purple. The optical phenomenon of labradorescence, responsible for these captivating color sets, is the result of diffraction and interference of light within the crystal structure of the stone, mainly caused by the presence of slats or microscopic inclusions. The most productive Labradorite deposits are located in Madagascar, Canada and the USA, but are also mined in Australia, Mexico and Finland, for example.
Known as the "Pierre des Thérapeutes", Labradorite is considered a powerful protective stone. It would act as a shield against harmful waves, capable of absorbing and dissolving negative energies. Labradorite is also known for regenerating, toning and revitalizing the body and the Spirit, thus reducing the feeling of fatigue. Numerous testimonies also testify to its painkillers. It symbolizes regeneration and intuition.
To preserve the beauty and energy properties of Labradorite over the years, it is essential to keep it away from chemicals or cosmetics. Protect it from thermal shocks or prolonged sun exposure. You can pass it under a lukewarm water fillet or immerse it for a few hours in a spring bowl to clean it and revive its colored reflections. Make sure to dry it with a soft fabric.
