Lapis Lazuli is a metamorphic rock composed of sulfurated silicate of aluminum and sodium. Its deep blue colour is due to the presence of Lazurite (up to 40%). Lapis Lazuli also contains Calcite (traces, veins), Pyrite (tasks, glitter) and Sodalite. The main deposits are located in Afghanistan, but there is also a prospect of Lapis Lazuli in Russia (Lake Baikal region), Siberia, Myanmar, Pakistan, the USA, Chile, Angola and Canada.
