The Azureite and Malachite are hydrated Copper Carbonates. The Azurite is an unstable mineral that can be transformed into Malachite by the phenomenon of pseudomorphosis into oxidant. The Azurite has an intense king blue while the Malachite has an enchanting green range. These minerals often form together in copper deposits and associated oxidation zones. Great specimens of Azureite Malachite can be found in Morocco, Australia and Russia. Historically, Azurite has been used primarily as a blue pigment in paintings, while Malachite was used mainly for the manufacture of jewellery, sculptures and ornaments. From the natural fusion of these two minerals results a unique and fascinating stone, harmoniously combining their energetic virtues.
